A good powerlifting coach is more than just a program and some technique advice. To take your total to new heights, the journey is a two-way street. The athletes who get the best results are the ones who not only put in the work but also communicate with me the most.

Through creating a solid relationship of trust and transparency, I can design a program that works more effectively and not only gets you stronger faster but also keeps you healthier, not only physically but also mentally.

The main thing I love about powerlifting, is that you don’t have to be talented to get really strong. Sure genetics are going to take you a long way and give you a much better chance at reaching the top, but it’s one of the very few sports where if you have enough passion and unwavering persistence to show up every session to get better.

You can go a VERY long way.

This is why I preach Passion > Talent. Since starting this sport just under 10 years ago, I have just as much passion as I did when I first found out about powerlifting. This is because I not only have a borderline obsessive love for training, but because of my desire to constantly learn. Learning what the best in the world are doing, never being afraid of questioning my biases, trying new styles of programming and adopting new techniques to ultimately become the greatest coach I can possibly be.

Over the years, I’ve developed a big tool box and a knack for problem solving when it comes to coaching lifters. When it comes to my training philosophy, I don't have a system that I try to buy people into. There isn’t a secret sauce that you need to sign an NDA before hiring me as a coach. I simply apply strategies that are proven to work and we work together to find the best way for YOU to get as strong as humanly possible.

Why do people get into powerlifting?

The main reason I see people getting into this sport is that the pursuit for strength is addictive. Hitting a PR is a feeling that's hard to describe and it's especially rewarding on stubborn lifts.  It's a rush seeing yourself get stronger, block to block, year on year. Knowing that if you just put in the work and listen to your coach, you will succeed.

What are the expectations I should have from my coach and vice versa?

You should expect contact within 24 hours, My responses will vary from text, voice note, video or loom. The more communication, the better. That means I shouldn’t be chasing you up for updates/videos. It takes 2 to tango.

Is athletic prowess a prerequisite for engaging with SPS?

There is no strength standard or prerequisite to join my team. You can be a complete beginner. All I'm after are lifters who have a burning desire to get stronger, have a solid work ethic and are willing to listen.

Lets get to work!
